Your case deserves more than a place on a crowded calendar. I intentionally limit my criminal defense practice to a select number of serious felony cases.
The short version: I do not run a high-volume practice. I accept fewer cases so that every client gets the preparation, investigation, and personal attention a serious felony case demands.
Why Not Represent Everyone Who Calls?
I do not operate a high-volume criminal defense practice. I do not attempt to represent everyone who contacts my office.
Serious felony defense requires time. Time to study the evidence. Time to investigate the allegations. Time to research legal issues, prepare motions, evaluate witnesses, consult experts when necessary, and develop a strategy for negotiation or trial.
I limit the number of cases I accept because I want to devote the time and attention necessary to the clients I agree to represent.
Who Does the Work on Your Case?
When you retain me, you are retaining me personally as your attorney. I am responsible for evaluating your case, developing your defense strategy, and representing you in court.
How Do I Decide Which Cases to Accept?
Not every case is appropriate for my practice. Before agreeing to represent someone, I consider the nature of the charges, the legal and factual issues, the work the defense may require, my existing commitments, and whether I am the right attorney for the matter.
I would rather accept fewer cases and devote substantial attention to each than accept more cases than I can properly handle.
